Thy spirit, that went far away, away to the four-cornered earth, We cause to come to thee again that thou mayst live and so-journ here. The hideout of Arya Samaj
Arya Samaj is famous for translation forgery in this field. According to their claim and fictional translation, there is no such thing as a “four-cornered”. But the Sanskrit dictionary speaks differently.
We will see the translation of the word ‘Chaturbhrishtin’ or ‘Chaturbhrishti’ in that verse.
Monier-Williams Sanskrit-English Dictionary [6] चतुर्भृष्टिं – Sanskrit-English Dictionary (Published 1899), Sir Monier Monier-Williams – TransLiteral Foundations [7]WisdomLib [8] Sanskritdictionary. com [9] learnsanskrit.cc [10] Sansrit.inria.fr ,
In Sanskrit Kosha too, ‘Chaturbhrishti’ means ‘Four-cornered’. [11] KST – Sanskrit Kosha
Now, we will see separately,
‘Catur’ means 4/four – no debate on it.
What does the word ‘Bhrsti’ mean?[12]WisdomLib
See, the ‘corner’ is like a ‘spike’, or ‘top of a mountain’…
If this dictionary is claimed as wrong, it can be shown from other books, the world is four-cornered. For example , the earth is four-cornered like a brick – Satapatha Brahmana
